Jen Bell, an honors graduate of Moore College of Art and Design, is a multi-faceted designer and artist. Her concentration of study, illustration and communication arts, has served as the basis for her professional career. Her designs have been seen across the country in the form of billboards, t-shirts, web sites, magazine ads and even building wraps.
By day Jen is the Director of Web Services for Rowan University. Her nights and weekends are spent dabbling with her true passions, painting, photography, cooking, gardening and building just about anything. From her slates and plates, to painting on recycled pieces of wood, Jen’s style is realism with a touch of whimsy. If there’s a hardware store and garage involved, you’re sure to find her building bird houses (more info & pics coming soon) as well refurbishing furniture and other flea-market finds.
Jen's goal is to eventually own her own vineyard (hey, one has to dream big) that would also house a photography studio, catering facility and bakery, as well as a barn for holding art day camp for children during the summer. She even has plans for writing and illustrating her own line of children's books and a cookbook. Progress is sure…but slow, unfortunately due to the rigors of her 9 to 5 job during the week.
A music lover and avid outdoors-woman, Jen, 31, enjoys spending her free time on the water, fishing, boating, birding (specifically monitoring the osprey population along the Indian River Bay) and taking her family water skiing. Jen’s boat, the H.M.S. Curlybell, is berthed in the Indian River Inlet, on the shores of the Delaware Coastline, where she finds most of the inspiration for her work. Among Jen’s lifelong ambitions is to someday own a home where she can dock her boat in the backyard but in the meantime, if anyone is out there listening. She is looking to purchase a 1968-1972 Black Stingray T-Top Corvette or similar vintage Jaguar XKE. A native of Delaware, Jen currently resides with her fiancé Kevin, and their three children, Mike the Pug, yellow lab Roxy and Elwood the Beagle.
